The Manifesto
Sugar's Manifesto.
Since she was a pup, Sugar, my delightful 8-year-old Goldendoodle, has been a soccer enthusiast. Her passion for the sport rivals that of any human. This summer, Sugar had an incredible opportunity to attend the World Cup, where her undeniable love for soccer quickly captured the hearts of the internet. Her antics at the games have garnered over 1.5 million views (and counting), and it's clear that Sugar brings a unique joy and energy to the sport.
However, despite the overwhelming support and love from fans worldwide, there's a heartbreaking reality: FIFA's current policies don't allow dogs at the games. This means that Sugar, the dog who may very well love soccer more than anyone in the world, is denied the chance to be present at the pinnacle event, the World Cup Final on July 19.
Through this movement, we aim to change that. We believe that making a special exception for Sugar would not only highlight the joy and unifying power that dogs bring to our lives but also celebrate the extraordinary bond between fans and the beautiful game. Imagine the headlines and the inspiration it would provide to millions of dog lovers and soccer fans globally!
In addition to Sugar's heartfelt story, permitting her presence at the World Cup Final could pave the way for future inclusivity at international events and demonstrate the adventurous spirit of FIFA.
By backing Sugar, you're not just supporting her dream, you're also joining a movement that acknowledges the importance of dogs in our society and how they can enhance even the most prestigious events. Together, let's show FIFA the joy Sugar brings both online and on the field. Let's unite the world of soccer and man's best friend by making history at the World Cup Final.
Support our cause by following her journey on social media at @SugarDoggyDog and sharing with the hashtag #WorldCup4Sugar. Let's be the change we want to see in the world and create an unforgettable moment for a very special dog and her many fans. Let's go!
